Working Papers

The Working Papers section contains abstracts and PDF files of recent papers in the Department's Working Paper series. Working papers are only available in PDF format beginning in 1999. For earlier working papers, please contact the Department of Economics to request a printed copy.

Ongoing Research Projects

The Economics Department is home to several externally funded, multi-member research projects, focused on issues of immediate economic concern to Hawai'i and the international community. Collected here are the external websites of the projects to which our faculty members contribute.

UHERO

The University of Hawai'i Economic Research Organization (UHERO) facilitates and supports cooperative research with different departments and institutes at the University of Hawai'i, and with other universities, government gencies, and private organizations. UHERO includes a Hawai'i Research Group and International Research Group focused on Asia-Pacific economies. Faculty from the UH-Manoa Economics Department lead each of the two research groups. UHERO maintains data bases to support econometric forecasting, modeling, simulation, statistical, and policy analysis.
