Service History: Konan recently served as a trade policy advisor to The Ministry of International Cooperation of Tunisia regarding their negotiations on services liberalization with the World Trade Organization. In cooperation with Egypt's Ministry of International Cooperation, Konan developed an economic model to inform Egypt's negotiations of a partnership agreement with the European Union. Her research on trade policy in the Middle East and North Africa region has been widely published in academic journals. Konan is currently involved in a Study Group on Middle East Trade Policy with the Council on Foreign Relations.
