Courses
Our department offers a wide range of economics courses that prepare students for everything from balancing a check book and managing investments, to analyzing economic forces at work in environmental and health policies, to contributing their expertise to developing economies around the world. Our classes draw heavily on the Hawaiian, US, and East and Southeast Asian examples to illustrate their principles, emphasizing the economies of greatest and growing importance to Hawaii, its citizens, and the world. No matter what you hope to do with an economics background, we have a class that can help you achieve those goals.
If you have any questions about the course information available here, please contact the department at econ@hawaii.edu or the individual professors. A list of professors is available in our People section, as well as a list of their research interests.
